Val di Peio

Peio, sometimes written as “Pejo”, is a town of nearly two thousand inhabitants within the province of Trento, located in Val di Peio that is a valley with the same name of the town. Peio is divided into smaller towns: Cogolo(administrative center),Celledizzo, Cellentino, Strombiano, Comasine, Peio paese e Peio Fonti; the last one(Peio Fonti) is a tourist location renowed and particularly appreciated for its springs and ferruginous thermal baths. Moreover, the new cable car Pejo 3000 provides the opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking view of the alpine environment and mountains in the heart of Ortles-Cevedale Alps at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level. The popularity of this tourist resort has further increased for having hosted summer trainings of famous football teams as Bayern Monaco.
